Don’t Give Up, Quit

by bxrtley

We use the words quit and give up synonymously, but I think there’s a difference. Quitting is the submissive, yet assertive process of letting something go and choosing to grab hold of or work towards a better opportunity. Giving up is helplessly surrendering your will to an unfavorable circumstance. You give up in a bad relationship, but you quit a bad one. You don’t give up while you’re ahead, you quit. Entrepreneurs call this an “exit strategy” which is really a quitting plan to let go of a venture and hold on to its liquidity (cash). Don’t give up. Quit.
