The Dip: Take Your Time
Seth Godin’s Dip definition:
The long slog between starting and mastery. A long slog that’s actually a shortcut, because it gets you where you want to go faster than any other path.
The dip is unforgiving, but it’s the longest shortest destination to being the best. This week I’ve looked at the dips of masters. Forget the 10K rule. The top masters have been in the sludge of rejection, hardship, disparity and injustice for 20 years. Don’t let age fool you. Take your time. It’s the only currency you can’t exchange for mastery. Hard work just prepares you for opportunity.
