Watching the Sun, Feeling the Spring
There’s something poetic about catching the sun in the morning. Right now, it’s playing peek-a-boo between trees and buildings. At about 6:35 AM, it emerged from the wooded horizon and then kitty-cornered behind an apartment complex. For the rest of this cloudy day, it will peek-a-boo on windows, brick walls, telephone wires, pipes and railings. Birds are now perching on a snow-abandoned, naked tree. Cantaloupe mixes with opaque blueberry in the sugar-dusted sky. It’s still cold, but this morning feels like Spring.
