Do You Want to Boil or Evaporate?
What’s the difference between boiling and evaporation? I believe what’s true in physics is true for personal development and social dynamics.
- Goals. Boiling occurs at a specific temperature, evaporation at any temperature.
- Resistance. Particle motion is fast in boiling and relatively slow in evaporation.
- Perspiration. Bubbles are seen in boiling, not in evaporation.
- Transformation. Evaporation occurs on the surface of the liquid, boiling occurs at the entire length of liquid.
Changing from liquid to gas happens in both. But how much do you want to change and how hot are you willing to get? Evaporation is easy. Boiling is hard-earned.
