Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself
Sometimes I doubt if I’ve ever put in hard, highly-focused work. Like a snake, Doubt starts hissing a narrative of me being a sloth. Eventually I believe it, which initiates action (or atrophy in this case). But sometimes deep work will require more than two peaks in a day. Sometimes it’s a long plateau of intensity. And that’s okay. Nothing’s wrong with trying a new workflow, but I condensed my plateau into two those mountains by digging a valley of self-doubt down the middle. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Keep working and the necessary adjustments will come.
