When Your Ritual Becomes Ineffective
As perfectionism is losing its kryptonian glow over my hustle, another rock is losing luster: My morning ritual. It’s been getting easily sabotaged or disrupted. Even worse, I successfully complete it, but it fails to throw me into the quarry of deep work. And there lies the problem: Projecting my perfectionism onto an imperfect routine. I caught myself searching for a perfect regimen instead of working the one I currently have. I must remember rituals are calisthenics for the race. It’s not the race itself. It gets me near the track. But I still have to run.
