Glance, Don’t Stare
Nothing’s wrong with having a rearview mirror. But don’t use it as your windshield. The rearview’s designed for looking behind you, especially when moving in reverse. Beware: If you stare at your Past long enough, you’ll start moving in its direction. Some things need to be left behind. Others need to be revisited for proper closure. And still others for appropriate revival. But remember you’re living in the present. Glance—don’t stare—at the past. And to no longer look back, you must move forward to have the choice of glancing behind you. Eyes front. There’s a long road ahead.
