There’s a difference between a stop and a hiatus. When you stop, you’re done with actions necessary for a task, relationship or thought. Hiatuses are strategic pauses. It’s a gap in something you’ve already started. Don’t stop where should be pausing. And don’t pause when you should’ve stopped a long time ago. Success takes balance. Your balance of stops and pauses will begin to sound like music, as the legato notes in your life transform into melodic quarter, half and whole rests of peace and rejuvenation. As with music, pregnant pauses build anticipation in life. But they must be pregnant.
